John F. Kennedy"Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country."
Newspapers after JFK's death.
President Kennedy first declared that he was going to run for president in 1960. As the election continued, he and Nixon were the candidates that had the first televised debate. JFK had the upper-hand in this debate because Nixon was said to look a little bit under the weather. But, when all was said and done, JFK won the election.
During his election, President Kennedy was involved in a lot of...campaignes, so to say. They included: The Foreign Policy, The Bay of Pigs, The Cuban Miscle Crisis, Latin America and Communism, the Peace Corps, and much more.
However, in November 22, 1963, JFK died a tragic death in Dallas Texas when he was assassinated while on a political trip.
